What is Caregiver Support?

The Caregiver Support pillar at Play Cousins Collective uplifts parents and caregivers through education, connection, and healing. We help families build resilience, strengthen parenting skills, and support healthy child development. By expanding access to resources like The Village Lou, offering culturally rooted workshops, and partnering with Black birth workers, we create safe spaces that prevent and heal the effects of trauma. Our goal is to ensure families feel confident, supported, and connected as they raise the next generation.

Sip and Play 
When: Every 1st Friday | Time: 11:00 AM – 1:30 PM
A relaxed and welcoming space for caregivers to unwind, connect with others, and enjoy light refreshments while the little ones play and explore through hands-on fun.

KMAC Storytime
When: Every 2nd Friday | Time: 10:30 AM – 12:00 PM
Join us at the Kentucky Museum of Art and Craft (KMAC) for a playful, art-inspired story time perfect for children ages 0–5 and their caregivers.

Traveling Storytime
When: Every 2nd Friday | Time: 10:30 AM – 12:00 PM

Caregiver Conversation: Parents as the First teacher
When: Every 3rd Thursday| Time: 6:00 PM – 8:00 PM
Join us for dinner and conversations on building everyday learning moments that root our children in identity, culture, and joy.

Thrive by Five: Family Photoshoot and Play

When: September 25, 2025 | Time: 5:30 PM

Join us for a special evening of connection and fun in partnership with Thrive by Five! Families are invited to enjoy a free photoshoot to capture lasting memories, along with open playtime for little ones. This is a time to gather as a community, get to know your “cousins,” and share in the joy of being together. Come ready to smile, laugh, and celebrate family—don’t forget to be photo ready!
