AGES & STAGES

From their first month to six years old, your child is developing skills that set the foundation for lifelong success. The Ages & Stages Questionnaire helps to monitor your child’s early development and make sure they’re on track. ASQ identifies their strengths and provides activities to help them as they continue to learn. If your child needs assistance you’ll receive information about resources to support them.

This program is in partnership with Metro United Way.

MIZIZI HOMESCHOOL Co-Op

The Mizizi Homeschool Co-op serves to support African American home-schooling parents and their children. We are a grassroots effort founded to provide families with the tools they need to successfully home-school their children.

We chose Kamali Academy as a base curriculum and will be working with partners in our community to lead other courses such as Art, Chess, Violin  and African Dance. It was most important to our planning committee to offer a collective learning opportunity that shares our history and cultural expressions with the children.

TUMMY TIME

During Tummy Time families raising infants 0-2 years or preparing for birth receive and share knowledge on infant health and nutrition, creating healthy and supportive environments, and encouraging a love for learning in their little ones.

TIME BANK

This initiative was formed out of our YAMAH group and serves to share resources among the Play Cousins Family by using time as a currency. Once the Time Bank Launches Play Cousins can use time as if it were money. By spending an hour offering a service, like dog walking, a member can then use that hour someplace else, like getting an hour of childcare when needed. We are currently recruiting members interested in sharing their skills and resources with one another. Please join the Time Bank Membership Group if interested.
