Pop Up Playdates are short play opportunities where children and parents can join Play Cousins in community spaces like parks and community centers. We bring toys art activities and games for children to enjoy with our IYA team while parents gain information about Circle Time, take Ages and Stages questionnaires and join the village! Circle Time is a parent support group engaging Black families raising children 2 months to 5.5 years old. When a family “steps into the circle” they join other families once a month for parenting workshops and children’s programming. Together we are strengthening the bonds between parent and child by practicing Ancestral methods of child rearing. This often looks like attachment parenting, baby wearing, breastfeeding, and positive gentle practices.
